CPD Presentation Showcase and Module Reflection

  • Presentation Showcase

My group was not selected for the final showcase. However, it was an eye-opener to watch the other groups pitch on stage. They were very confident of presenting and their topics were relevant.  I felt that these groups have practiced a lot before their presentation, and it was something that my team can learn from to improve on the overall team presentation.
I personally enjoyed IHG’s presentation on sexual harassment. It was a sensitive topic and yet they were able to deliver their pitch professionally. Our class was represented by Happy Tree. As what we seen in class, they were interesting and communicated their idea clearly. I was very proud and excited to see that DHLs video was shown to the cohort. It was a creative and memorable video.

  • Module Reflection

At the beginning of the module, I wanted to improve my weaknesses, which one of them was being monotonous during presentations. I felt that I did achieve my goal during the team’s presentation. I tried to sound more interesting during my presentation by adding a rhetorical question and engaging with the audience. To add on, I felt that I have stepped out of my comfort zone during lessons to talk to other classmates in class which I usually would not have done so.
The most important takeaway was to initiate and be confident to talk in class. Throughout the module, Brad has been asking questions that I have to respond openly in class. This has allowed me to gain confidence in front of my classmates. In my upcoming IWSP and future semesters, I hope to take more initiatives to ask questions.

Thank you for the wonderful semester!

  1. Thank you, Kelly, for this clear and concise final reflection. I'm happy to hear that you feel like you achieved your initial goal related to presentation skills during the term. You certainly did come out of your comfort zone. I hope you have an opportunity to also push yourself beyond the usual comforts in your upcoming IWSP.

Best wishes as you continue your journey!
